Needing to justify their existence is no new topic for any corporate library. Even as corporate libraries are being challenged, now more than ever corporations are looking to accelerate the innovation process, improve productivity, support knowledge-based decision-making, and realize innovation. Learn through new case studies how real corporations are providing positive return on investment in corporate libraries right now.

Bio:

George Scotti currently manages Channel Marketing and Account Development for Springer. Most notably, George has been working very closely with librarians all over the world through Springer’s Library Advisory Board program. Through the program, Springer’s executive team has the ability to receive direct feedback from academic, corporate and government librarians. The innovation being driven at Springer is a direct result of the LAB and the partnerships it is has forged. One such outcome is the Return on Investment white paper that was suggested at our last Corporate LAB. The results of which George will present during the session. Previously to his current role, George worked as a Global Marketing Manager for Kluwer Academic Publishers and held marketing positions at Lucent, Verizon and W.R. Grace & Co. He also has an MBA in international business from Bentley College.

The Library Buzz sessions are sponsored by the SLA in Virtual Worlds Advisory Council in partnership with the Alliance Virtual Library (AVL).
